ABOUT ABOUT

Join us May 10 for a concert celebration of the release of Kyle Alden's new record.

If you've every seen Kyle Alden perform at the Treehouse Concerts he hosts, you know what a gifted songwriter and guitar player he is. And for this show, he'll be backed by a full band of talented local musicians.

This show is the kickoff of a new series of Sunday concerts at Bogie's Too in San Rafael. It's a beautiful setting for acoustic concerts, and we're excited to be partnering with Michael Freed and his crew. They'll be serving drinks and snacks from their menu, so you'll definitely want to come partake in that as well.

Reserve your seats with an advance donation at inside-lands.ticketleap.com.

ABOUT KYLE ALDEN
Award-winning singer/songwriter and folk musician Kyle Alden has appeared on stages throughout California, Colorado, the Pacific Northwest and Ireland. His third CD, Songs From Yeats’ Bee-Loud Glade–a collection of thirteen original folk songs inspired by poems of W. B. Yeats —received world-wide radio airplay and was on three “Best of 2011” lists among folk music DJs.

As the 2012 grand prize winner of the Y-Tunes Song Contest for his settings of W.B. Yeats’ poetry, Kyle was honored to perform at the Hawks Well Theater in Sligo, Ireland in the summer of 2013. As part of the annual Celtic- Appalachian Celebration in March 2015 he joined Mick Moloney and Athena Tergis in performing a selection of the Yeats songs at Symphony Space on Broadway in New York.

Recognized for his Irish traditional guitar accompaniment, Kyle has supported many top players in concert, including Gearóid Ó hAllmhuráin, Tommy Peoples, Paddy Keenan, Mairéad Ní Mhaonaigh, Liz Carroll, Athena Tergis, Andrew McNamara and Ann Kirrane, among others. Fluent on guitar, fiddle and mandolin, Kyle performs solo and with several roots-based bands– The Mild Colonial Boys (Irish/Americana), The Gas Men (Irish Trad) and The Shots (Irish/Americana). He co-hosts weekly and monthly traditional Irish sessions in San Francisco and Marin County, CA.

Kyle has been writing and performing pop, rock and folk songs since the early eighties, first as the bass player in The Young Republicans (a punk band who performed at the legendary Mabuhay Gardens, San Francisco and the old Sleeping Lady, Fairfax) and more recently in songwriter showcases and house concerts in California and Oregon. Sometimes the sounds of electric guitars, bass, drums and electric piano are used in performances and recordings to expand the roots-based acoustic palette.
